Repeated Ectopic Pregnancy

Abstract
|

|
We present the following results of the analysis on the 38 cases of the, repeated. ectopic pregnancy which `had been treated at the´ Deppt- of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Seoul Red Cross Hospital during -the past-.6 years from..Oct. 1965 to Aug. 1971..
1) Amoug the 406 cases. of ectopic pregnancy, the 38 cases were repeated ectopic pregnancy, which .showed´ 9.360°" of the total cases.
2) The age: distribution ranged from 23 -to 40 years of age, and its mean was 31.7 years of age.
3) The duration between-the first and the second operation was distributed in 3 months to 13 years, and its mean was 3 years and 2 months.
4) It is very difficult to warrant that the repeatition will not occur in remaining tube which seems to be grossly free from any lesions at the first operation, . because repeated ectopic pregnancy rather frequently occurred in such cases.
5) It would be better to be removed or sterilized the healthy tube in women who need no more baby, but conservative operative treatment should be done in other patients. 6) Repeatition on the same side of tube or more than 2 times was not experienced.
